It's awesome. Easily my favorite of the normal versions.

I didn't care for it, probably won't ever run it again. Although that's maybe more because I don't bother collecting normal mode gear anymore.I was wondering the opinion of casual players who don't run extremes or savage fights.
I absolutely fell in love with the 3rd fight of this tier and I feel like it's the best normal fight sqex has ever created, but I wanted an outlook from people who don't normally run harder content.
In my opinion it's hard but not too hard, I think an average group could clear within 3-4 wipes, the mechanics feel good and have pretty good telegraphs if you're use to looking for them, and the story is so much better than the msq story for dawntrail. These are just my opinions and these types of fights are exactly what I think the game needs to help players improve but I'm just a raider so I'm use to hearing my opinion doesn't matter.
The second fight was probably the only one I enjoyed.
The zone transitions are really cool. The adds were extremely welcome, and as a tank I LOVED that there were several interruptable aoes at once and it was up to us to choose two out of the bunch to get rid of in order to give the party the easiest time. Love that and absolutely want to see more like it.
The rest of the fight, while exciting to do for the first time... gotta be honest, not impressed. Glad to see more challenging normal content but I really don't think it's all that big a shakeup to xiv's combat. Definitely was moreso than the other three, at least.
Way too fast, way too much movement. But for the first time in way too long, the devs remembered they can put adds into raids AND change the arena. Hopefully they do something like Shinryu EX or Ghost Train in the future. Or literally any other stormblood fight, because stormblood was when encounter design was at its best. So I both love and hate it. I hate it because it represents a direction to the game's design I hate, but I love it because it shows more things the devs can do, but oddly choose not to Oh well, we'll see how savage is.
It took my group quite a while to find out how to solve the gaze, and he feels quite tanky in comparison to the other bosses(this could have been my group underperforming in comparison to the ones i had for the rest though).
The music is great and the fight has a lot of movement. Overall quite punishing and for us abit of a wall with the gaze, but Mr Happy figured out the gaze in 1 pull so I suppose it was just us being dumb. Standing behind the corpse for some reason didn't even occur to me XD. Other then that I quite enjoyed the fight.
Can see this being a massive wall in savage though.
Someday I'd really like to know what kinda game(s) the players that call this game, or any content in it, "hard" came from. Also gg narcissist post trying to put others down as "casuals" in an absolute noskill game.

Im not trying to put people down, I'm trying to gadge how more casual player are reacting to more mechanically complex fights. I'd like to see a more fight like this and harder to bridge the gap between normal and extreme content since that's been something I've been asking for a lot. The thing is, it doesn't affect me if they don't make it, but it affects the entire playerbase worried about stepping into extremes because they don't think they're ready for it.
honestly I like it because it pushed player to improve if they don't desire to be better then it's where they will stop or leave. to me I see M3 as a good thing because at this point you should be skilled enough to be able to complete it
Funny enough, the first group I had for M8 disbanded because people kept dying over and over due to poor heals + lack of mitigating people's mistakes. I had to re-que as Healer, and I pretty much solo-healed 90% of the fight because the co-healer was either afk or on the floor.
omg I have the same experience about the other healer in M8 but still have funFunny enough, the first group I had for M8 disbanded because people kept dying over and over due to poor heals + lack of mitigating people's mistakes.
