    The 2nd dungeon, with the butterflies everywhere? Second boss has a mechanic which if you don't have all 4 people doing the mechanic, the party WILL fail if the boss gets 4 stacks total. As I learned when a duty support NPC decided to not do that mechanic on the 2nd go round (they kept running from location to location instead of picking one). Another Duty Support run failed cause I was stuck in a cage when the mechanic spawned the third time, and didn't quite have enough time to break the cage and run to where I needed to be. Instant fail.
    If we're talking about the 2nd Boss in Dohn Mheg, that's not necessarily an issue with Stack Markers. If anything it at least poses something for the player to learn about blocking the tethers, and with the additions to the Hall of the Novice it helps out a lot completing the whole thing.

    One of my friends complained that when she was doing the lv 90 dungeons for the first time as healer, there were a couple times where she died halfway through a boss fight to an unfamiliar mechanic then just sat there waiting for the rest of the party to win without her because the tank wasn’t DRK. Then despite being a healer main, on her first time doing Dawntrail’s dungeons she played tank specifically to avoid those situations.

    The devs are probably going to refuse to make normal content hard enough to require healers to know how to heal properly, but extreme situations like these shouldn’t happen either.

    The fix is simple, add a hard enrage to every normal raid
    this prevents groups from being carried to a clear they don't deserve, and tanks from doing exactly this. it's how wow handles it, because tanks are immortal over there in easy content as well

    Tanks being healers needs to go imo, let PLD keep a weaker clemency and that's it. The sustain of them needs cut down big time. It's so boring healing and being irrelevant. Similarly it's boring having a tank solo an instance due to tank priveledge that the rest of the party didn't have for new fights. Healers have been screaming for this for years and nothing has changed, I don't expect it will at this point.

    This has been talked to death, I'm sure, but I'm bringing it up again because when you're literally sitting there for a solid 30m straight watching M5 burn with two tanks sustaining each other as GNB/WAR, it is boring.
    In general, the situation with tanks is not good. They can take a lot more damage, their damage dealing abilities are not that far from a dancer or summoner (not in terms of damage output, but in terms of the number of damage buttons), and their healing is like that of a healer. At least this kind of crazy healing should be taken away from them.

    It'd be extremely time consuming to test out them all if they have it, but at least some of the Alexander and Omega raids have a like 12 minute enrage.
    Also some Normal Trials in HW and SB also had enrages... Ravana can break down all of the walls around the arena to make his knockback eventually into a wipe. Bismarck will eventually break the island if you take too long. Shinryu can destroy the outer bits of the arena to make some mechanics impossible.

    Well, yeah. I was trying to avoid mentioning the dungeon's name, because people get really angry about "spoilers" if you mention the actual names of dungeons. And yeah, the new Hall of Novice boss mechanics tutorial did help with knowing what you're expected to do. Assuming people actually ran the tutorial, that is. Getting that dungeon in a leveling roulette was nice. Getting it with 3 first timers who'd never seen that particular mechanic before, and refused to do the Hall of the Novice tutorials because "tutorials are for losers" (according to one of them) meant we struggled with that particular boss till I managed to convince them of what to do. Dohn Mheg's last boss is IMO annoying as hell due to it turning into a platforming challenge. The group really struggled with that one.

    I can't imagine how those three got through the second boss of Stormblood's level 65 dungeon.

    I believe the last time raids had enrages was Stormblood. I know, because I encountered it when trying to solo O1 normal, and meanwhile did not experience one when soloing E12 normal.

    They should bring them back so that 14 minutes is the upper limit like in HW and SB. It is pretty bad for them to do it for that long.

    I think since shadowbringers they no longer have enrages in non savage/extremes

    I like it to have warrior for soloing content, but there should be some kind of limitation when playing together with other people. Maybe some kind of uhm...yeah... 'votekill tank'! xD
    That the others, when out of battle, while tank is still in battle with boss, can wipe the tank if he/she is trying to make an inappropriate soloshow from 30% to 0%. :x
