I sort of get where OP is coming from. I personally couldn’t stand the running animation for female midlander (whether or not Peloton was up) when I started playing the game, and that was why I’d used the free fantasia from ARR to change to Highlander for a couple years.

I don’t mind Jog or Peloton speeding up the running animation, but Jog is a weird idea because it’s functionally the same as a permanent increase to run speed that needs to be reactivated each time you’re out of combat, and the it speeds up the run animation to something it’s not supposed to be at. Like when you use Haste in FF10 and then everyone’s idle animations start to look funny.

It would be better if Sprint was a toggle in cities, or Jog itself was a separate ability that could be toggled, or if in our character configuration we could decide whether or not Sprint will activate Jog.

Maybe you could make a macro that uses sprint, then waits for 21 seconds, and then turns off Jog. But then you lose the benefit of 7.2 also making Sprint be queueable unless you also keep the actual Sprint button on one of your hotbar as well for using in combat.
