Queueing Up for Normal/Alliance Raids

I am new to FFXIV endgame content. I hit 100 a couple months ago and mostly just worked on glam and leveling up my crafting.

Now with the new patch hitting I am looking to start running the new raids. Seeing as I am inexperienced in this game's raiding scene I am just wondering what the way to go is with running normal content. Does the community usually find a static for these new normal/alliance raids, they pug it or form a static?

I am not talking about extremes or savage, I am looking to get into base level content first and get my feet wet more with the game's mechanics.

If its just the base alliance on normal they don't form a static unless you find people who wanna do it. Most of the time from. What I know normal/allaince raids is que for them and go from there. But for the savage versions they find a static

I just wanted to confirm before I go in blind. I always watch videos of the fight first before jumping into something new, but I just wanted to make sure I was keeping up with the community.

Normal and alliance raid content is similar to msq dungeons or trials, in that they’re still things that are usually done blind and in duty finder even though they can be a little harder than msq content.

Anything Extreme or higher is when it becomes common to look at guides beforehand (but there are pugs or statics that opt to do them blind), and it’s also when people outside of Japan start just using Party Finder or Raid Finder instead of Duty Finder. Savage, ultimate, and the higher difficulty Criterion is when it starts becoming more common to play in statics, but savage and ultimate are doable in party finder as well.

If you want to get into endgame raiding content and you have the time right now, it would be ideal to do the new Extreme this week and then start the new Savage as it releases next week as this is when they’ll be the most popular. But they’ll still be pretty active for a few months. You just might have to data center travel to get to where everyone is doing them.

Go forth and Alliance raid my friend, Just be aware, Crystal Tower and Labyrinth of the Ancients are very very poor representations of the mechanics and over all raid skill required throughout the content you're stepping into. Don't be shy about asking for tips or guidance because people will help and usually aren't jerks about it. Que up and HAVE FUN!!
