"Tomescroll" and "Study" only useable standing

"Tomescroll" and "Study" only being useable while standing seems like a massive oversight and actually ruined a huge part of my enjoyment for this patch.

The animations are already there, why not loop them?

Here are the tooltips in the emote window for all of them:





They should at least have function parity, right? Them only being useable while standing removes any usage when sitting around and RP idling. I still have to use the half-baked macro I created years ago (that also runs out after 15 repeats).

I really hope this is just an oversight than can be rectified with a patch soon. I don't even know what to think if this was done on purpose.

(I even joined this forum after playing for years just to post this...)

They honestly should've just made the original two emotes loop rather than making two more, but I guess the options are nice to have for those that will use them

You didn't know? Lots of people read books for 5 seconds and shake beverages forever :^)

I hardly ever come to the official forums to post, and I immediately came here looking for a thread about this because it seems like such a ridiculous oversight. Everyone wanted a persistent /read emote to be able to read idle while sitting, same for tomescroll. IS there a bug report/request thread for this yet? I feel like the sooner it is brought up the better before it fades into obscurity like many other small QoL requests.

I would post this over in the Bug Reports forum if its not already there. Definitely seems like an oversight since the original emotes work fine when sitting.

They've been making emotes useable while sitting etc slowly so I'm sure they will do the same in the future.

While I appreciate the sentiment, they had everything they needed for it RIGHT THERE. The original, non-looped ones already work perfectly while sitting, while mounted, while swimming, and even underwater.

Not being able to do it while sitting is pretty bad. That's honestly a make or break for me.
