Ah, I'll completely agree with this.
I've spent the last few weeks getting all camps and nodes with a few close friends while on mumble - yelling "adventure!" at people. We even got a 4 year old joining in, it was fantastic. We had a few rules to it; no normal equipment! Only special event gear or stuff that looks good, but will get you killed in one hit.
Needless to say, the whole thing was a great laugh. The aim of that was to get all the nodes and such before it's too late to get the achievement - I'd really recommend doing it. Don't just go for the nodes though, explore and discover! Places like Dragon's Aerie, or Hengr's Crucible, and other dungeons like the ones in the ant's nest or the toto-rak looking one south of Nine Ivies, you can see a lot of thought has been put into Eorzea and a lot of time has gone into making it.
So, I'd say go out there - leave the walls of Ul'dah and experience the beauty that the world has to offer!

And the obligatory Taru jumping shot!

    Adventure!

My only hope is that the DOL treasure hunt maps will bring us far out into the """Forgotten""" reaches of the world, and not feature static chests but roaming ones whereby no two maps are the same. And why not have treasure in the towns as well!
As an avid explorer too, I'll agree with what has been said and also offer my thanks to the team for such a rewarding quest. Here's hoping for an adventurous future rich of exploration!

Thank you! After our synced Subli-dance, Atomos got scared and disappeared.
I'm proud of my Tiger Subligar, I only miss the Coliseum one to my collection, and I bet I'd have it if only I hadn't forgotten to open the treasure chest at the end of the leve (oops!)...!

In the current Eorzea there're actually several unique locations, and I'm glad the devs created a quest like this so that other adventurers could see some of them before the end.

I think I've seen them all and I'm eager to revisit these places in A Realm Reborn, so like Kirol I also hope the treasure maps content will be well-though for us Explorers.

    I hate this quest.

So much. I love it conceptually, but holy shit I'm just fed up to no end with SE's Trolling. I couldn't even get to the 2nd shrine last night, every fucking turn there are high level aggressive mobs that you can not solo, and no one wanted to party for this...

Seriously why Yoshi? Why do you have to choke off virtually every pathway with ridiculously high level, aggressive mobs?!

Anyone have any tips for this one? I'm having the same problem... every path filled with hoards of lvl 60 anoles, guivres, diremites and others. I've tried sneaking past them, but with the narrow paths in gridania and a good 5-6 enemies at every intersection, there's just no way to get through them all. I just want to finish this before 2.0 and be done with it but it seems impossible.

If you have some of those really hard to get to nodes, just teleport to them. It will save you a lot of grief. If not, then you'll have to resort to a patience game with the mobs, wait until they're walking out of the path to a point to where you can sneak by and beat feet past them!

Or, bring a sacrificial buddy with you and have them get all the hate as you try to run through.

Well... "Common" sense isn't all that common anymore, now is it?

I don't have the nodes unfortunately... if I did I'd gladly teleport and avoid this headache. The problem is there are so many choke points with piles of 60+ enemies at each one that there is never a clear path no matter how patient you are. I'd need a whole party of sacrificial buddies probably to get all the way through to the end.

Guivres and other drakes are sound aggro (efts too), so you can just walk right past them. Don't run. Don't go by chocobo. Don't take out your weapon. Just walk and they will completely ignore you.

Anoles and raptors are sight aggro, you need a little patience for them to turn and look away before running past on chocobo. But even if they come after you, you should be able to outrun them.

Diremites and hogs are a bit of a pain, but they are slow so you can usually just run past.

A friend and I got to all of the locations with just the 2 of us. Didn't have to fight our way through anything.

It took a little bit of time, but it is quite doable even without a large party or people sacrificing themselves for you to pass.

    Good luck with the quest.
