Ah, I'll completely agree with this.
I've spent the last few weeks getting all camps and nodes with a few close friends while on mumble - yelling "adventure!" at people. We even got a 4 year old joining in, it was fantastic. We had a few rules to it; no normal equipment! Only special event gear or stuff that looks good, but will get you killed in one hit.
Needless to say, the whole thing was a great laugh. The aim of that was to get all the nodes and such before it's too late to get the achievement - I'd really recommend doing it. Don't just go for the nodes though, explore and discover! Places like Dragon's Aerie, or Hengr's Crucible, and other dungeons like the ones in the ant's nest or the toto-rak looking one south of Nine Ivies, you can see a lot of thought has been put into Eorzea and a lot of time has gone into making it.
So, I'd say go out there - leave the walls of Ul'dah and experience the beauty that the world has to offer!
And the obligatory Taru jumping shot!
Adventure!
My only hope is that the DOL treasure hunt maps will bring us far out into the """Forgotten""" reaches of the world, and not feature static chests but roaming ones whereby no two maps are the same. And why not have treasure in the towns as well!
As an avid explorer too, I'll agree with what has been said and also offer my thanks to the team for such a rewarding quest. Here's hoping for an adventurous future rich of exploration!
