Maintenance for 24 hours?

The game will be down for 24 hours straight? Is that true?

Is this a really big patch or something?

Sorry, I'm very new to this game.

No, it's not a big patch thus to 7.2 barely have enough content. It should only take a couple of hours to implement/update though they say 24 hours just in case.

it will be 24 hours cause of weekly reset.

I suppose weekly reset is probably the biggest factor in it's length, as otherwise people who get in early enough could run the next Raid tier twice that day. Unless they somehow manage to timegate the release of the Raid until the weekly reset.
