Get the "wire" that sells apart and each time you have to afk or not going to touch your controller for more than 5min and plug in it to the controler. It won't turn off and after you are back you can unplug and keep playingI have to keep restarting FFXIV after my controller auto turns off which is annoying!
I'm just wondering if there is a fix or should I just grab the wired version?
Sorry for posting this in General Discussion, I just wanted to get more feedback as not everyone regularly checks the other ones.
Thanks
It is weird because I used to have this problem too long time ago, it was pretty random though, sometimes it was reconnecting, sometimes not. But today my 360 wireless controller resync automatically with FFXIV when I turn it on again... Can't say why it is working now, I don't remember having done anything to fix this.

I am using logitech wireless rumblepad 2 and I do not have any issues when the controller shuts off. I just press a button and continue. Also, Logitech has advantage over Xbox wireless as you can program the buttons.
If you attach the charging cable to the wireless controller, it prevents it from turning off.
This is a big annoyance of mine as well and is a main reason I don't play in my living room too often.
If you run the game in windowed mode and put the game in the background when you go afk, you can turn the controller back on before bringing the game back in the foreground and it will work.

I'd use caution with this one. I bought two, and one of them it just kept freaking out with the camera. No matter how many times i calibrated it, it kept forcing the camera up or down. I posted about in in the tech forum somewhere awhile back. I Got the wired 360 control myself, I bought two and they've been working pretty good for me and my GF. I've never been a fan of wireless, it just isn't reliable enough for me, for any type of connection.
Clearly the only solution is to NEVER STOP PLAYING
I run in windowed mode and the controller actually does reconnect (as of patch 1.18 I think). It's still quite buggy, and for many people it doesn't work right at all. I know how frustrating that would be and I would be mad as all get-out if I had to restart the game every time the controller shut down.
I have the same problem. I hope this is fixed in 2.o! I'm using the Plug and Play kit to keep mine on so its basicly a wired wireless controller :/
I have been using the same cordless rumblepad 2 since FFXI, I love it to pieces! If there is any wireless controller I would recommend, it is this one. xD
