By nerfing this, they keep the other means of leveling alive, which is important to keep people doing roulettes or busy in the overworld. So ya, you probably dont see it, but it was an important change for the sake of the gameThe nerf doesn't mean anything of course.
But what does it signal? Think about it.
Why did they go out of their way to nerf this when it bothered no one? And every decision and change like this is debated in CBU3 btw. It isn't just adding a conditional check in their code. They would have had to talk about this, debate about this, put this on Yoshi P's precious calendar.
What does this say about their priority? About what they consider important? About their vision? Think about this. Seriously. Because it's not about the nerf, it reveals something deeply troubling about their priorities and attitude.

People gravitated towards this because the roulettes simply aren’t remotely fun anymore because they are biased to low level content and the low level kits get worse and worse every expansion
This change just reads like “no don’t do x alliance raid do the roulette so you can get dumped in CT for the benefit of one sprout while you yourself have no fun”
Like if square wants me to start running the alliance roulette again then do something about CT
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
