It actually is, it's a 12 year old console that's been outdated since 2020. Rumors say it will be dropped for 8.0 and I hope it does, PS5's are affordable now, especially in the used market.

You are saying this as if pc low spec support doesn’t exist. Ps4 is not the lowest margin they have. Games are still released on ps4, pretty silly for an outdated console? SE won’t make ff14 into some magical next gen just if they drop ps4. It’s quite obvious they don’t use the whole capacity of it even now, and that’s cause their internal engine is lacking, even after supposedly being upgraded in places.
