Rivenroad (Hard) Discussion and Strategies Thread

Still having a hard time wrapping my head around surviving something that should normally wipe you to farm something to beat the fight.

There are 2 ways to go about it from an original position:

- Bring jobs with Sentinel (WAR, WHM, PLD) and raise everybody else (BLM, BRD, MNK, DRG) using GC potions and raise spells.

- Bring classes instead of jobs so everyone gets Sentinel.

WAR and PLD won't need moon sugar to survive Megaflare; their Sentinel+HP is enough. If you are THM, Sentinel+Sanguine Rite will narrowly keep you alive. I think you will want BRD in any case for Battle Voice.

Ideally, you will earn back the deaspected clusters you spend with each attempt. It's not a quick battle.

Okay so going on the description of the overaspected clusters (which you can get from atomos mobs?) it sounds like they can be used for a full-revive (full HP & MP, no sickness).

This should help tremendously, and so it looks like Yoshi just wanted to troll us by forcing us to prepare for this fight ahead of time, much like you had to do in CoP - only with a more sadistic twist (you can only get the deaspected clusters from the fight itself, which is just a bad troll by SE - especially with such little time left before 2.0 beta starts.)

Going from the patch notes, the over-aspected cluster isn't in game yet.

Once you understand the fight and get like two curtains you can farm like 50 a fight. It's not a problem
