Is the Payment Processor Error ever going to be Fixed?

The address submission on the Square Enix Account website has been broken since April 2024, ever since SE acquired a new payment processor. My old account's address has been the same for a few years now, but it has repeatedly been rejected with the "The address is invalid. Please confirm the entered data" due to my registered region being different from my address. An issue I haven't had , again, until SE acquired this new payment processor.

I've been waiting since November 2024, when the subscription for my original account had expired, for this error to be acknowledged and finally resolved. Especially since the Visa and Mastercard error problems was solved decently quickly back in July 2024. But there's been absolutely zero talk about this problem from SE and the dev team. And players across the internet, no matter where I go to online, seems to stop talking about it abruptly around September 2024.

I've tried submitting tickets to Square Enix help line to get this issue resolved several times, but all I get is a canned automatic response where I get the same set of possible solutions to my problem told to me over and over again. I've tried all the solutions suggested, but none of them work.

So, with my current brand new account I was forced to buy in order to even play this game again, I thought to ask this question on the official forums to see if any players know any solutions they've tried where your region doesn't match where you currently live, but you've been able to submit your address regardless successfully and continue to pay your subscription with no problem.

Either that or it would be nice if a GM could get this problem kicked up to someone at SE who could look into this and finally get this issue resolved.

I also experienced this address verification issue in April 2024.

The way I solved it was by using an address lookup website that checks if my address exists. I just had to change my zip code to a different one for the area, and change my street address to match the valid format for the address website (valid format seems to be [Street Number, Street]). You may have to abbreviate Street as St, like 12 Greenhill Street vs 12 Greenhill St

Use a fake address. Helps you dodge taxes too (use Delaware)! ... Not that you should do that! wink wink nod nod

Oh... you want the problem actually solved? Well... Sorry but they're too busy making FF9 Remake!

By your address existing or not, do you mean an address that's registered within the region you live in or the region your account is registered to? Because my account's address is from a different region than the one that's registered on my old account.

Also, I have another question. Does the Square Enix Account submission soft lock the user out if they get enough invalid errors and if so, for how long? I just figured out the numbers for my address weren't the right ones that exist as public info for the SE Account system to pick up on and I'm still confused on the zip code thing, since my address doesn't exist within the region my old account has been registered to and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to use an existing zipcode that matches my registered region or one that matches my address that's from a completely different region.

I meant the country/region of registration in your square enix account information.

If there is a soft lock I didn't hit it when I was trying over and over again to get my address accepted by square enix. I also used an address for years until the April 2024 change, but even now I still use that same address, I just had to change my zip code and the formatting of my address (like changing Street to St).

The address needs to match a valid address within the region of your SE account, so if your account is NA but you live in the EU (like me), then use The White House's official address as I did for example, you can use any NA address, but it needs to be from usps.com (official address format from the US postal service), if you have an EU account, then look for an EU region address.

You can attempt to change the address forever, it doesn't seem to have any check in place except if one is valid or not, you won't get locked out.

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU BOTH FOR ALL THE HELP YOU'VE GIVEN MEEEEEE!!!!! I got it to work finally! The only problem I'm having now is I can only pay my sub on my old account through Crysta, but at the very least I can do that.

Again, thank you for all you've done to help, Doomfist and Final-Fantasy. I seriously appreciate it!!!! :'3
