you wanna like jobs? no no no, thats not how it works. you have to chose a job depending on the aesthetics. and then you do content with the correct difficulty for you.... or something like that

without fun jobs none of the content is fun
I dont think the BLM changes are primarily to get more people to play it but because in their eyes it cant deal well with fight design going forward. The entire role has suffered from this over the years.
RDM used to run laps on SMN and BLM but now we're here and its somehow looking like RDM is the one left to suffer and its not even because it has long cast times.
It's honestly one of the most pathetic things this game has spawned.
Job tourists that want the pretty sparkles of a job but don't actually want to engage with any of it's gameplay.
People who are genuinely happy when your enjoyment of a job is destroyed in favour of making it fit some kind of nebulous "new audience" they consider themselves part of.
So they moan and whine until CBU3 changes it to their liking, because the devs have no clue what they're doing anymore and any changes are entirely reactionary.
And then they have the audacity to come here and gloat about how the new version of your job is so much better now that it's been turned into a hollow skin suit with the gameplay equivalent of banging two rocks together, how they can finally enjoy your job now that it's no longer "for elitists only" and that you can go pound sand.
Then after having achieved their goal of turning another job into the same grey gameplay mush they enjoy so much they will play that job for maybe a month, before getting bored and moving on to the next job to repeat the entire process.
Entirely possible, but not much better.I dont think the BLM changes are primarily to get more people to play it but because in their eyes it cant deal well with fight design going forward. The entire role has suffered from this over the years.

If your fight design only allows for a single playstyle, the super mobile instant cast spam, because you can't design a fight anymore that isn't DDR mechanics spam where you're constantly running around for 8+ minutes, then that doesn't exactly inspire confidence in either your job or encounter design team.
