It will barely take any more effort, because they already implemented it on NPCs.
If they can't do that then that's still not the consumer's problem because it implies that their code is so horrible and difficult to maintain that such a simple extension will take more than a day's work.
I expect some programmers to come in and say "waahh waaahh you don't realize how screwed up some things are sometimes!!"
Well yeah, maybe when you built your game you should actually have made your code easy to maintain and modular. It's a team effort, and it doesn't matter if the person passing the baton or the person receiving the baton screwed up. Someone in the team screwed up either way.
So, Version 7.2 doesn’t include the occult crescent?
Is it true that the occult crescent will be introduced two months after 7.2?
Even if we get everything available by 7.2 feels like it's too late already.
This is quite disappointing.
It seems like they rushed the Dawntrail expansion and are still not finished developing it. They essentially sold it before it was completed.
It's cute, they timed the things so next group content (Cosmic exploration) is released just 4 years after the previous one (Zadnor released on april 13 2021).
I don't see the calendar info anywhere else, so IDK how much faith I should put in that, but if it's true, it's a shame. I wished I finally had some battle content to eat, but I guess it's still a few month away.

I like the part where they mention they are trying to get rid of mount loading. So someday we'll be able to run and mount without stopping.
Weird, small, but still a thing that has always bothered me.
If you're trying to get somewhere quickly then it should feel natural to start running towards it and summon your mount as you go. Instead currently you need to stand still or the summoning gets cancelled, and it just feels unnecessarily stilted.
Actually it may be a pretty big deal but not for the reason of mounting.
Mounting functions very much like a GCD ,except it just isnt affected by skill/spell speed and you cant weave it, it doesnt block abilities etc...
It is subject to the animation lock which is the bane of FF's existance just like GCD's are.
So if they were able to make a mount that you could get on while already running you effectively have cast time GCD's while moving.

Eh, it sounds random, but a lot of players in the past complained about the mount loading. This dev team is known to come out of the blue and work on some small fixes here and there. Its nothing new when it comes to updates, but its nice to know they are working on this finally.
(Bonus: They are working on a town sprint too. Interesting.)
