Something that is not on your list that I would add is a better new player experience of some sort. Wow has exiles reach which I think is helpful for newer players to learn the fundamentals of questing, how to play their class, and has a small story tied with it. I think that Final Fantasy would benefit from more visual indication on how to play and navigate the game at the very least.
