the only difference is that FFXIV has a Slower GCD then other games and that is exactly the reason why i like it

The game is build around the slower GCD, but you will only learn to play with it when you do difficult content like savage, but it does feel really slow at the beginning to mid-game

Attack boss > run out of an AOE while you are on GCD > engage again without losing uptime.

The Long Global CD allows you to move around and dodge mechanics.

i know thats why i said i like it, i really like the slower gcd speed in ffxiv and i played more then 10 years wow so i can see and feel the differences and i really pref final combat over wow

I always wonder. Do they play their own game? Do they have testers?

It all comes down to pressing the same piano loop ad nauseam, while dealing with the artificial lag/delay, whatever you wanna call it. No skill is impactful or fun to press on it's own like in other MMOs.

I'm not even talking about the fact that the mainstream raids, dungeons and bosses are also absolute trash tier design.

1-2-3 skill combos, that would have maybe been acceptable in the mid 90s, I press a button that does essentially nothing, to enable another button that does half of a thing, to then enable a third button that actually has an impact and a purpose. Wow.

GCD/OGCD just scrap this, it doesn't work and is a major contributor to the s... gameplay. Just do a fast GCD like WoW.

Skills that turn into other skills, mostly meaningless aoe potency bloat to add artificial complexity. Just no.

I really hope that 8.0 is gonna bring changes.

nothing new, since 2.0 there are already players in forum wanting FFXIV to be "more WOW", to be honest I am glad dev never go that direction.
job homologation happen as early as HW as I remember. I think this is dev trying to buy more time to balance classes/job as it was a issue back in ARR.
At the end more jobs get add, balancing become more complate and they took the simplify homologation route.
Can't say I have joy in this homologation but I would prefer this than some balance mess

This is a tab targeting game and has been a 1-2-3 gameplay since the beginning.

Just quit the game if you think it's horrendous. Go play WOW. Never come back, please. Not even in 8.0. For your own sake, stop doing things you don't enjoy. Not everything has to cater to you.
