The term filter is a terrible implementation of blocking RMT spam

Free to play accounts in every starter city (especially Limsa) just spam RMT non-stop, often taking hours to be replaced with a fresh account.

Ok, I'll just add some words\phrases from that spammer to my term filter.... so instead of getting spammed with their ad message I just get... spammed with "(Message could not be displayed due to Term Filter 2.)"

Either make it way easier to fully ignore free to play accounts, or come up with something better.

In the upper right corner of your term filter window is a little gear. Click it, and then select "hide the affected message in its entirety." No more messages.

Honestly I don't know why people use the block letters, it just makes the advertisement more obnoxious to read

Outside of that though, it's also frustrating how restrictive the term filter is because you could easily put "DJ" there, but it has to be three letters minimum from what I recall

All my term filters are exclusively for those dumb nigthclub advertisements. Trying not to block people in case I'm ever in party with them and need for some reason to communicate, but I don't think I care about being a team player anymore. The moment you avoid the reasonable ways of being ignored, you are the problem.

The filter should not be case sensitive. But this example looks like it was intentionally constructed to bypass the term filter. The devs could update it to treat block letters as their ascii version and still some people would find a way around it.

I know its a dream, but i would love to get a message out to the "advertising" community. And i preface this by saying ads dont bother me very much. I dont actually see them super often because you couldnt pay me to sit in Limsa for any extended period of time. If im in Limsa and it isnt for a seasonal event then my account has likely been hacked. ANYWAY.

A message to the advertising community: Finding ways to bypass the term filter is a waste of time(and often obnoxious). Someone who chose to filter out any of your keywords isnt your target audience. They arent interested. Thank you.

I have added "Gamba" "RP+18" "Nightclub" and several different versions of the lbgt acronym to my Term filter and I am still seeing all these F***ing ads when I am in Limsa
