To Devs: Stop Shoveling Content Into the Cash Shop

Isn't the emote from another game version? Stuff from the other teams sadly always goes to the cash shop.
I heard the Chinese players don't have to pay a sub, or a cheaper sub. So that cash shop items are important for financial success. But I am not totally sure if that information is right.

When those items come to us, they stay cashshop items. And we have to pay additionally.

The plant items are not that nice that they would be worth so much money. Well ^^"
There would have been plenty options to make them obtainable in the game, instead of the shop. :x

There are already 2 new glamour sets from other game versions. One of them looks a little bit like AOT in my opinion. Look forward to pay even more! *sadsmile*

The Chinese and South Korean markets are one of the main reasons the cash shop exists as far as I know... As last I heard the sub there are extremely cheap and paid based on hours played...
But they also just bring the cash shop stuff to everywhere else as well.

The overall dissatisfaction makes this one hard to swallow. Things have been too silent for too long, and while this isn't the first cash shop item it just stirs up shit even more.

The game is going through another content drought at expansion start. The negativity even reaches players who were otherwise fine with the game.
Honestly, I think the golden era of ffxiv has come to an end.

It's artificially gatekeeping something that should be a frickin' feature in this game. If you're going to keep shoveling actually good things into the Cash Shop for cheap sh*t? You're going to lose your playerbase. Oh wait - Dawntrail already did that because you fumbled the bag. HARD.

In case you didn't know, I am still watching for new emotes. I am waiting for new equipment or glamours to be added that aren't Cash Shop. I'm waiting for furnishings that aren't in the Cash Shop...can we even get a god damn crumb at this point?!

I don't care if it's inbetween patches to try and fill the void because "Oh well we worked on this on the side..." because guess what? You should've done that in the HOTFIX! If there's one thing I am pissed about it's that SE is giving the player the middle finger while we pay our subs monthly for various reasons that I will not go into.

Irregardless, as a community we need to push for this change if we want it. There's no "if", there's no "but", there is only DO IT OR DON'T. This isn't a Korean MMO, but it is egregious with how bloated the Cash Shop is with Content that is locked behind Real Money. I don't care if it's $2, I don't care if it's $5, I don't care if it's frickin' $20, I'M NOT BUYING. Everything in that Cash Shop is content the player is gatekept from because of their own wallet.

The only thing I'll leave here with is this: Please. Stop doing Cash Shop already. We know we're getting things in 7.2. But with how much is already on there? JUST LEAVE IT ALONE. This game is in dire need of content, and even if we're getting a new raid tier and some other stuff? I'm tired of seeing the same song and dance - and of course, people will want to say "Why don't you just quit and unsub".

I stay because I want to. You pay the Cash Shop for crap because you want to. All I'm asking is for a boycott of the Cash Shop, and while this won't reach Reddit or Social Media since this is the Forums, we need this cycle to end. It's as bad as the frickin' content cycle at this point, which has been churning into slop since Endwalker.

Devs dont really have a choice nor Yoshi-P, its ran by seperate group SE put in place as a deal with Yoshi-P, basically the FFXIV devs are contracted to give up something to cash shop on a regular basis (even more so with SK and CH.)

She's been featured on a PLL in the past, explained how the shop is run and is why we know that there's a team separate from the main development team that works exclusively on the shop's catalogue. Furthermore, if this was a ploy to redirect hatred, it would have to be one they've been pushing since its implementation; before the cash shop even existed as back then it was called MogStation Optional Items, as even as far back as ARR, HW and SB, since they've been mentioning her since then. She's the head of marketing for Final Fantasy XIV's IP, she's been on the game project since 1.0 and outranks him in both tenure and seniority.
