We got our first cash shop exclusive outdoor furniture

As the title says. We got 2 new outdoor furniture pieces that are cash shop exclusive and were not previously obtainable in-game for free. All other items in the same category available in the shop have a line: This item, or one otherwise equivalent, was available during a past in-game event. These new ones don't have it.

This makes me sad. I already pay a subscription, I'm not going to start paying for furniture items.

Just turn FF 14 into a full "Free to play" game already. It's halfway there with how they focus so hard on the cash shop and merchandising lately.

Lately!? Sweet summer child, they've been carting out the QVC products for over a decade now. They will monetize every single solitary speck of this game. And the sad part is it works. There are hundreds of people already with lawns full of palms and cactuses, and I guarantee you someone has already bought another set because there wasn't enough of them the first go round.

Its sad that a subscription based game that struggles to add rewards to content has no problem churning out so much cash shop slop.

got to love they put 20x more effort into cash shop items then the in game events and what we get in the game lol

the sad part is people been warning for years and got shouted down. its like always been the line since they been event items right. Well here you go they will make more and more steps and poke into the vasp nest as long as possibile. People did warn and gave critique about this kind of monitazation in an mmo thats all i wanna say

is it a surprise? people playing these games will always have their cult following white knight defenders no matter what, I mean look at wow and how many people still white knight their cash shop/ and game expansions etc...

People see it and make assumantions that fall under 3 catagorys
1. the naive fools who believe buying on the cash shop means that money is going into the game (which is almost never true)
2. The Oh this is optional so it doesnt matter what they do, you dont have to use it m....on group
3. The people who know its bad but get off on bragging they whaled in a game, which 9/10 times its a streamer doing that bs just for a few clicks of brain dead sheep following them

If you want proof of that just look at Wows forums when it comes to anything to do with their cash shop, Like seriously I believe a lot of these people if Blizzard or Se feed them feces would say thank you and pay for it

Okay now thats about it. This is crossing the line and I am not even joking. Its not like a special unique item. Its not a returning or seasonal item. Its literally JUST PLANTS THAT SHOULD BE ADDED WITH A PATCH LIKE ALL THE OTHER HOUSING ITEMS. At least with the emotes I kind of get it, they're unique and effort is put into them. But these are just. REGULAR. PLANTS.
