I’ve been feeling the same way. Like they just do something they don’t feel like explaining for whatever reason, and say it’s “because of feedback.”

I’d appreciate more transparency about why decisions are made, and maybe about why they think certain changes are good ideas. Like right now if we look at the job guide’s adjustments overview, the Dark Knight section explains that the changes to Dark Mind and Dark Missionary are for making its abilities match other tanks, and the change to Abyssal Drain is to give it better healing for dungeons. Even though I don’t think it needed more healing, I appreciate the explanation. Meanwhile the GNB Double Down change and NIN Ten Chi Jin change are “to improve ease of use,” and we just have to guess why. Why made easier? Why those changes? It can feel annoying to hear, and then I feel the same way when we just hear that changes are “because of feedback or “to reduce inputs.” And then we get casuals complaining that jobs are made easier for parsers, and raiders complaining that jobs are made easier for casuals, and then so many people wonder whether the forums actually get read.

On one hand maybe we’ll get explanations that some people don’t like, and the devs wanna avoid that response. Like if a higher-up just doesn’t like something. But at least it would be nice to hear more of the actual reasoning about things because people are gonna complain either way. It would also placate the people who don’t understand why a change was made and keep asking for it to be reverted, if they better understand the intended design philosophy.
