I really could not care less about those stuff. FF14 is and was never adressed to actual children. Like any other big MMO, no child should unobserved play it.
FF14 has also different age ratings depending on region. For example EU ratetd it PEGI 16, what makes sense. It's simmilar to the original Japanese Cero C (15 and older).
My country germany nevertheless rated it 12, and noone can understand what they smoked when they decided this.

In the end an online MMO is no place for children. For example ShB also is rated with 'particial nudity and sexual themes'.
I wonder why this topic is coming up again and again. It's a little bit tiresome. Let the people who enjoy that stuff have their fun and don't try to steal them easy ways to find each other.
This stuff exists in every MMO and will never disappear. I think it's fine that they do it like this.
It would be much more annoying if they had to randomly try to find other players with the same interest, and had to write try and error whispers.

I don't want to get random whispers with ambiguous requests for ERP. Stop trying to defend something (actual children) when they are not really there. Most people I met in this game where 30+.
Since 2015 I only ONE TIME met a child. But playing together with it's mom. So as it should be.
