as for that remark thats false, most of these rpgs are and have taken aspects of DND and as for your popular thats also DND/baulder gate and many of these others are what lead to the popularity in games like ff and rpgs as hole, when people want an actrual combat game they will just play something that has combat THAT IS FUN lol, games like this wouldn't exist if it wasnt for ROLEPLAYERS lol

as for your remark Want some examples in ff terms in final fantasy 7 you legit have to crossdress cloud go into a sex club that (legit has bdsm items in the background ) to rescue a character, and there multiple other things in ff that show how sexual the game series as a hole is I mean there are even some monsters that Lore wise only go after females lol
Even if you sleep through 90% of content it is still combat focused. Just doing the dailies is mainly combat and maybe some crafting. Also i play diablo and i played wow. And yes i do compare them to FF. They belong to the same genre. Wow is as combat focused as FF, so is guild wars 2 or diablo. Imagine this game had no combat at all lol. No one would play it. It wouldnt have become as popular. Roleplaying wouldnt have accomplished this.
