A positive repsonse - Seasonal Event little ladies

For me, this seasonal even was way better than the last two or three.
Not every past seasonal event was a highly involved story with its own minigame, and no neither was this one.

But the writing of the characters was way better. They had some individual personality rather that the literal bare minimum "I'm not even going to greet you with any individuality. Here is some irrelevant information that the last NPC told you I was going to give you. "
I thought the story was cute and made some simple sense.
The NPCs had some modicum of effort to make sense in their surroundings.
There was a nice nod to previous events protagonists, and they used a new protagonist rather than rolling out last year's.

Your never going to please everyone with a glam, but I was far past sick of the amount of contemporary clothing, and for once this was something else. So I'm going to appreciate that they are also willing to make concessions to those of us who prefer the fantasy look. I thought the glam was great for me personally.

Criticisms... they made no effort with the NPCs glams. Why are they all wearing the same three outfits? That aren't even that nuanced within those three.
It's like either they just stuck some placeholder glams on them and then never got around to finishing that part off, or the person who knocked up the supporting character designs was an intern who litterally started last week who'd seen less of the game that a three week sprout with no inspiration as to where to begin.

You've got literally tens of thousand of players who could do amazing things to glam your character in a single day, and many of them will work for free and sign an NDA if you want to approach them.

This event was better. Not wow. Not even WoW wow. But it wasn't as totally awful as the last handful. That said if its going to be this basic, you don't honestly get away with the NPC designs being so poor. Not when we are now looking out for the worst. I'm probably only giving credit because the previous events were so bad.

And this being just 'ok'... it not enough to get me to turn my sub back on. However, I do want to say something positive, if only to avoid irritating myself with the tedium of negativity.

I thought this Little Ladies Day event was cute as well. It's still simple, but the characters seemed to have been given some thought which was nice. Felt like I got to get to know someone new a little bit, and I appreciated the nod to prior events as well.

As much as I've enjoyed past events with minigames, like the All Saint's Wake dungeon a few years back, it's also a little stressful when a limited time event relies on other players not trolling x.x;

I like the events. They aren’t complex but given how many they do a year it’s fine. Just short and nice feel-good stories.

I do wish we got more returning character cutscenes though. Too many great characters we never see. When they do pop up here and there these days we can’t even talk to them as they are just in the background.

I'm sorry but this is all I ever from you. You also wanted Hildibrand dark and depressing. It's simply not that kind of game. Some of us love rainbows.

I have a lot of complaints about this game and how lackluster events are now, but I enjoyed the story. I thought it was cute and unfortunately, I think a lot of us might relate to the feeling of the Pop Prince's ending motivation that I don't want to spoil just in case. I think most of the glam itself fits my WoL's asthetic which is a win for me and I love all the decorations that take over during this event. So yeah, I appreciate this event for what it is and that's my positive contribution.

I just wondered what it had to do with little ladies, but maybe that's just me. Except for that it was ok, I guess. I don't have any expectation on seasonal event. If the reward is nice, I'm happy enough.

not true i wanted a darker version of hildibrand just a similar story line structure to it like hildibrand and also: just cuz i like things darker doesnt mean i dislike rainbows

I liked the quest. It wasn't anything special, but it was nice and cute.

On the other hand, next year's reward better be a /boyband emote. It is absolutely hilarious that they didn't make any new animations. "We have quite a show to follow.", says Narumi. Lady, he literally stole your act. The man is up on stage just /songbird-ing.

Oh dear. Just did the easter event.
I'd give it a 4/10, but because I'm having so much fun getting no rewards for Experts, no rewards for normals, no rewards for any of the Exs or Ex4 prog, it gets a 'feels like' 3/10.
Not going to bother to examine why. I'm here to play the game.
(Actually I am having fun with the new normals when my friends log in. Thats averaging a bit 'less' than once every seven days at the moment.)

There was a time I would have done an easter glam just for the sake of making it more of a 'thing' for the players around me when I ran with you all it on release.
I doubt the players around me would bother as they can just add-on fake it and publish over syncshell. Not that you'd tempt them away from their modern hotpants, modern trainers, modern baseball caps, modern jackets. Why live in a fantasy world when you can pretend your trying to fit in with your peers your local mall's frozen-yogurt.
I think there is a moon thing some where now? Its craft and press 'x' gathering. I can't be bothered.
I've finally got my crafters to about ~98, so whats the point. Not that I need crafting for the housing I don't have, and gearing for the savage I can't be bothered with since missing out on Tier 1. Could have done with this in time to gear my crafting for the start of DT savage. Or something. I don't know. Haven't thought it through much. Can't be bothered. If someone want's to think it through for me, knock yourselves out.
(Thought I'd do all my posting here to save time. Low effort. Wonder what my inspiration for that might be.)
Dismiss this as a 'me' thing if you want. You might be right. But I'm having plenty enough fun outside XIV, and outside of gaming. So yes and no. What ever, you do you.
