It really bothers me that the developers seemed to have cranked the rain up to unbearable degree. I get it that we have a lot of umbrellas now so this provides incentive to use them but it's turning the game into a dreary nightmare.

They could at least give us changes of weather by season and if they do, it's not at all noticable. Even FFXI was able to give us noticeable seasons back in 2002.

yeah... no. the way SE works, is they remove weather.

nuance is lost on them, and for their changes, its all or nothing. I dont mind the rain at all.

I'm sure you can find some way to get away from cyclical weather patterns, if you really care about that.

Personally, I wish there were more strange weather patterns.

I cannot tell that they have "cranked it up", is it in the patch notes somewhere?

If the rain is an issue, I'd advise to stay indoors or visit the weather man then adapt your travel plans accordingly.
