haha, well, was hoping maybe someone at SQeenix might be lurking around that could shed some "ah yea that will be patched by us for sure" kind of reply. Let me have my hope okay xD lol
They do not reply to us on the forums. Not unless there are hundreds of pages or it's a post complimenting a GM.
If you want SE to take it seriously, post it in the bug forum using the format pinned at the top https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/forums/632
If you follow the format and they accept the bug report, they will likely send you a mail in the game to say that they accepted the bug report. You might have to do it multiple times if you get the format wrong.
Yea it just coming out is fair of course, I'm hoping once SQenix has a chance to check it out it will be as simple as a patch or something, though that said, all the 3rd party reviewers (Gamers Nexus especially) are pretty trustworthy so I doubt we'll see better results from end users, unless and until of course, it is addressed by drivers or patch if at all possible.Unfortunately, since the 9070XT isn't publically launched yet (coming tomorrow), Square Enix probably hasn't had the opportunity to run any diagnostic tests on it.
Adding some context to OP's screenshot: The 9070XT usually trades blows with the RTX 5070Ti in most other games, so seeing it inexplicably lose by 25% in FFXIV 1440p (30% on FFXIV 4k) is disheartening.
In fairness, it's not that AMD has significant differences in FFXIV, as per GamersNexus this appears to be an outlier. The card itself seems very good value for pretty much most other games, just FF is somehow severely under performing >.<
If it was just a few percentage points vs other games, one might chalk it up to random little deviations based on what was on screen or whatever, but 25% - 30% lower seems wildly out of trend.
Fingers crossed it's only temporary, I was really hoping to upgrade to this too but FF is my main game so this would be a deal breaker >.<
