    Equipped Gear as a Glamorplate?

So I have tome gear that I'm wearing, I like how it looks. Problem is, when I apply a plate, to get back to the look I want, I have to use a dispeller on each slot. Plus re-apply the glam I did to one specific item. So I'm wondering about a plate to the look I want that I can apply after I had changed it to another look. Can I pull this off?

Not sure this will work, but here's a thought. I take my gear, put it in the dresser, make a plate. Then I take it out and re-equip it. I think the dresser strip out materia, but a this point I have no material attached.

    Is my idea all wet?

You only have to use a dispeller if you want the gear to look as it does naturally. After that, you shouldn't apply any glamour plate or glamour to it at all. To make sure of this, you can unlink the Glamour Plate from the Gearset.

If you want to overwrite the glamour with another glamour, using a dispeller isn't needed. You can glam over the top of it. Glamour Plates do this all the time when switching between different ones.

Once the tomestone gear is "old" and not "current gear", you can put it into the Glamour Dresser and use it for an actual Glamour Plate.

So yes, you could put items in the dresser, add them to a plate(or even multiple), then remove them to wear. Just remember that if you remove them from said plate you wont be able to re-add them without putting the items back in the dresser. As for single item changes, there are 2 options involving the dresser. First, you could take off all the items you dont want to change then apply the plate. A plate is only applied to currently equipped items, so any you take off while applying it are unaffected. Alternatively, if you are AT the dresser you can find the one appearance you want to use and just apply that glamour directly. And of course, if you have the glamour you want to use in inventory a direct glam application using a prism is still on the table too.
