But then again, it's part of me being a mature adult to have control of how I do things and how I handle things I dislike. If I dont like something, I dont need the entire world to adapt to me and my dislike of that thing, I'll just... not use it.

If there were no things I liked in the game, I would quit in an instant, however not only do I love the social aspect of the game, but I also am a fan of housing and the creativity that comes with it so those two things alone make the game fun to me. Or should someone just quit because they dont like certain things in the game ? Can I not keep playing the game because I find the events (and the content of the game) boring ? Your take is confusing.

Also I am not "white knighting" for any platform, X is SE's platform of choice for their competitions, I am not the one in charge and deciding which platform they use, my opinion (or yours) has 0 impact on what SE does or will do in the future.

As I said, if you disagree with their platform of choice, you have more than the right to not participate in the competitions, I am pretty sure the ones participating will be happy with one less person to compete agaisnt.

My point in my ground beef analogy is you're attacking Bluesky on the basis of a false premise. But this is somewhat immaterial.

If you truly believe what you have stated about Bluesky, I can certainly understand why you would want nothing to do with the platform.

But nobody is asking you to.

Similarly, I imagine you can appreciate why people who sincerely believe that the owner of X is a ketamine-addicted neo-Nazi on corporate welfare would prefer to avoid the platform.

The issue here isn't about which platform is better. It's that those who dislike X or social media in general are a little miffed this is an X-only event.

The fact that you don't think your proliferate forum posting about all the things in this game that bug you is "needing the entire world to adopt to you", while you think that people who don't want to have to engage with a platform that hosts and even promotes self-identifying neo-nazis and white supremacists do, is the whole problem here.
