I've been on the internet for quite a while, and I have never seen someone have such a hateboner for an entertainment product that they have to pay a monthly subscription for, as you have for FF14

I mean, don't take it from me, take it from this clown here:

But in true essentialist fashion, I'm sure you see yourself as a big boi in the mirror, and not as the clown that you are

How about you put your money where your mouth is, big boi, and finally vote with your wallet instead of continuing to enable the terrible story telling and costumer treatment that constantly prompts you to post nothing but bad bait topics? No? Nothing else going on in your life? Yeah, thought so.

Yeah that's not going to happen when he IS the problem

Also possible, yeah. I think we don't see enough of it to really say, but there's no denying there's a disconnect between what Yoshi says, what he can do, what we get, and likely what Yoshi is also ALLOWED to do. Something has to give.

Third time. Your inability to take even the most obvious hints is certainly something. Tell me when you reach the loam layer, I will hand you a bigger shovel then.

As much as I didn't care about the main story, the world-building of Tural is probably my favorite of the whole game so far. Sadly, the MSQ is shafted with a lot of non-interesting bits and a huge fear of compromising the players to go to a certain route, so they sit in the middle of the fence thinking it's pleasing people, and it's pleasing no one. It is a shame that the interesting parts are being suffocated by Cyberpunk City and a continuous exploration of Cyberpunk City alone. It reminds me of Stormblood, when Ala Mhigo kept being shafted to make Doma a 'cool place'.

Can you elaborate on why? It felt incredibly one-dimensional and hollow compared to almost every civilization that preceded it.

Personal preference. I did not enjoy the zones of the First and most of the story associated with them.
I enjoyed Ala Mhigo, but it was very bland, visually speaking, and Doma did not pique my interest at all. Plus, Ruby Sea was a nightmare to navigate.
Ishgard was actually quite interesting, given the whole context from the Calamity and the perpetual Winter, but it was equally bland in terms of visuals, and the history was fun until we go to Idylshire, downhill from there.
Sharlayan was just dull in all senses, Thavnair was interesting only when the Final Days hit it, and we were basically denied Garlemald for story purposes.
The base 3 are good, but they suffer from ARR syndrome where they are starter zones. Gridania is by far the worst of them.

I dunno. at the end of the day, it really is just personal preference and involvement. I enjoyed exploring and walking around Dawntrail zones and talking with NPCs and even doing brown quests.
I couldn't care less for it on the other expansions.

I will give you this, the sidequests in the new zones for DT were actually well written and interesting. I was surprised how many had multiple stages and cutscenes associated. Sadly, most of those will be skipped over by folks.

I liked the music and visual appearance of the DT zones. For me, this made the weaknesses of the story less of an issue simply because I enjoyed wandering around. Contrast that to Garlemald and Coerthas; two areas I found unpleasant.
