I just don't understand that people feel using the FF XI Atomos model somehow means FF XI content is coming to XIV and this is the beginning of the end.

So many things are similar, or straight out copies of XI. It's Final Fantasy, who cares? The game is awesome, it's going to be even more awesome soon enough (I have faith :P). I don't see how mob similarities matter at all. Lol.

It's all about the fan service. I recall Yoshi P. mentioning several times recently that FF XIV was meant to have fan service in it from other past Final Fantasy titles. Crystal Tower from FF III being brought to XIV as well as Atomos and his new updated model from FF XI that many fans remember, along with the goblins from XI, Magitek armor from FF VI and much more.

It's fan service to make us happy and remember the games from the past that we enjoyed. Take it for what you will.

its *final fantasy* element, I think it doesnt matter if it looks the same like in older version. Question is - why it should be original all time ? This is Atomos as people might know it, and why the heck - why not ?
