Uh... but the time between patches isn't increasing. It's been 4.5 months for a bit now. At least since EW. I think they made the time between patches longer officially then, but even during ShB it was about that length.

This is wrong. 7.0 to 7.1 took longer than 6.0 to 6.1. Every expansion has been increasing the time between patches.
