Electrope is the entirety of the explanation for the FFXI raid. It has fulfilled its purpose as a literary device to hand-wave why something impossible can happen.

And that's a huge flaw in the writing and worldbuilding.
Electrope can literally be molded into anything or anyone. This is a huge technological advance that will probably see little to no relevance to the world or story. ( ´-ω-` )
