Bahamut raids and old Extreme trials shouldn’t be in Wondrous Tails

Whenever these objectives are in Wondrous Tails my best option is to just immediately do as many of them unsynced by myself if possible. This is boring, but is the best way to make sure these spots aren’t wasted.

I think it would be better if instead there were more objectives that were in Duty Roulette, or more PvP duties. For example I don’t mind queuing for a Normal raid in duty finder to do it for Wondrous Tails even if I have the option to do it unsynced. But I’m not going to go to Duty Finder (or put up a Party Finder) for Zurvan EX, and then wait for it to fill, and then hope we beat it before people leave. If the alternative is to just do it myself in a minute with a lv 100 class then trying to do old Extreme trials “normally” seems pointless.

If all the objectives in Wondrous Tails were more reasonable to do then we probably wouldn’t even need 16 options, or to use second chance points to retry objectives. But then that does mean that there would be other changes worth considering too.

In short: "its fine"

Yet its completely broken and doesnt even remotely do what its supposed to: It does not keep old content relevant.

I think it would be better if WT had an 'extreme trial of the week' event where that specific trial must be done in sync, and as reward it grands the full WT value in just a single trial. If you cant do these extremes, then the fallback is doing the other content and using retries. And for rerolls: it grants 7 random stickers in a single click, and 2 spare ones that you can use afterward. These rerolls however do require you to do other content in order to unlock them.

There is no problem here regarding which trial is selected, its the same for everyone, and since it is not MINE settings, its generaly far easier as for most trials you are massively outgeared.

Having to do them synced actually doesn’t sound too bad of a solution. Then people will (hopefully) actually be doing the old EX trials more, so then it won’t be as hard getting teams for them in Party Finder. And even though we all occasionally have the parties that disband in newer Extreme trials too, it isn’t the end of the world when there’s enough people doing the content so that it doesn’t take forever to fill.

I feel the same way. It’s not a huge problem that ruins the game, but I definitely would prefer WT to have some improvement so it actually accomplishes what it’s supposed to.

dont know if you make stuff sync as requirement it will scare away many casual players who use WT just for the exp and maybe treassure map so question is why dont you just do the more hard stuff

Those duties in WT when WT got introduced, while unsyncable by design, actually generally required more people - even if just two or three - to clear and were hard or impossible to do on your own at lvl60. It's obvious that it's not been the case anymore since Stormblood and beyond though.

As a big customer of WT, I'm interested. Every week I open my new book and immediately look at the squares that always hold Bahamut and Heavensward. "Okay, which coil is that again? Alright time to stomp some Warring Triad! Wait no - Bismark cutscenes awwwwwwww that takes forever." (3 minutes 35 seconds.)

Some unsync squares like Zeromus EX are actually still hard. Even Susano EX is like "welp time to make a PF listing for 1 other person", which still kind of meets the goal of WT a little bit. I don't think it's a problem to clear Lv 1-49 dungeons with a sub-5 Sastasha either. It's really just the Bahamut and HW squares that feel kind of bad. Maybe if those free spaces weren't on every book?
