Seriously, i'm excited. :0

I'd like to talk about this Van Darnus thing - they get us all hyped up on the "conclusion" and "final battle" -- and now it's got a hard mode? Plus a repeatable easy mode? With rewards for both?
Do I automatically get the easy reward for having beaten it before? Or do I have to do that again, too?
So what was the point of the "final battle" and "conclusion" previously?
I'm like borderline uncontainable gamer-rage, here. I fought hard for that win - and it was, aside from a few cutscenes, meaningless? Way to ruin the sentiment.

Way to ruin the sentiment. While I understand what you mean, they did give an explanation.*This battle content presents some contradictions when played alongside the main story, as events following the battles are the same as those experienced during the quest "To Kill a Raven." Please note that these battles do not have to be completed to advance the story. "Rivenroad (Hard)" is currently the most punishing battle available in FINAL FANTASY XIV, and we intend for players to enjoy this as a special challenge after completing the main story.

Mooglebox got the data for the items last patch (they've been in the game, just not obtainable).

Did you flip out over Ifrit and Garuda too?
If someone wins an argument, they have learned nothing.

A reply that completely ignored my comment being focused on their use of words like "final" and "conclusion" and my interpretation of the sentiment behind the win, regardless of the inclusion of things like fun and challenge, which I do enjoy? OH GOD, THE FINAL FANTASY XIV ONLINE FORUM STANDARD BEHAVIOR!

So if you have already beaten him once, you have completed the story. Yes it is quite an ordeal but this content will last until servers go down (I am assuming in January, they wouldn't shut the servers down because 4000 people are in 2.0 beta... -_-) for a month, then *pop* *sploosh* 2.0!

you are assuming they will have 1 or 2 servers, even the last beta had at least 15 servers
