    Bad Connection / Packet Loss seemingly out of nowhere

    UK player playing on NA Servers (Aether Cactuar)
    Platform: PC / FF14 Launcher

    Connection has been completely fine, barely any latency at all up until last night, where a duty had to be abandoned due to me either completely disconnecting (with either 90002(?) or 90006(?) errors), or connection dropping long enough that I end up dying by the time it reconnects. Even being in overworld areas I see other players being stuck in place for 3-4 seconds at a time and then teleporting.

    Connecting to an alt on EU servers has no connection issues.

    Was just wondering if there's anything I can do/if it's a ddos or if it's just randomly bad routing to the NA servers.

    I also am having the exact same issue. UK player playing on NA servers, have been playing for 6 months now with no issues and suddenly I have crazy lag and stuttering issues, and I am now getting error 90006 issues and the game is unplayable.

    I have looked into this and it says that this is an issue with the FF14 client not connecting to the network, and it is an issue my side. But I have changed nothing and I am so confused.

    Same issue. Made an account here just to say this. Game is nearly unplayable for lag. East Coast USA.

    Having the exact same issues, UK player playing on NA servers as well. I play primarily on Crystal and have had zero issues until this weekend.

    Weirdly, it's also affecting the login server for me, it'll either fail or take forever to actually login. Much like original poster, I also have no issues playing on EU data centers like Chaos though once I am logged in. But lag on Crystal is really bad, it's also intermittent as it'll be fine at times but not at others.

    Just for the sake of transparency and to help other UK players that might have the issue, my ISP is Virgin Media.

    Also experiencing this issue, been playing for a year and this is the first time I've encountered this.

    UK Player on NA servers here, mainly play on Primal Data Center. Sometimes game is fine, but during 'peak' times I would frequently be disconnected.

    Same as everyone else, I have no issues using EU servers, and just like the previous poster, my ISP is Virgin Media. I have submitted a Packet loss report via the SE bug report page, so hopefully something comes of it.

    This has been happening to me since Friday. Completely out of the blue, also a UK player connecting to Crystal. I've no idea what caused it but the game will frequently drop either every few minutes or every few hours. Allow me to reconnect then drop again. Its becoming rather difficult to play.

    If you are from the UK and using an ISP like VM, it's NOT the game or anything to do with SE. The middleman networking between the UK and California has some faults. NTT is the infrastructure used in between and it's been having issues since.

    A solution is to use another network. Or, use a VPN. Easiest recommendation is CloudFlare WARP. They have different routing paths and will get you back into the game.

    I've also experienced issues since this weekend. multiple 90006 and 2002 errors. I use Virgin Media too & there was an outage this weekend, but I'm not sure if it's related. I've tried multiple fixes on my end to no avail. (Flushed DNS, reset browser, cleared cache, pathping, tracert ect ect).

    Hoping that something can be fixed here, I don't want to pay for a VPN, neither do I wish to change ISP (As that should not be the 'solution'). But any help here would be deeply appreciated.

    When the disconnect occurs/How often?: Randomly. Starts to act up around 10pm GMT+0 but can, has & will do it before. Usually able to stay logged in anywhere between five minutes to an hour, but the disconnection will happen without fail.

    Does this only happen to one character or all characters?: All of them on crystal.
    All steps taken to resolve the issue: Cleared caches, flushed DNS (twice over), ran pathping and tracert.

    Are you playing FFXIV during peak hours?: Sometimes. Sometimes not, the disconnections still occur either way.
    How Many people are in your household while playing FFXIV?: Just myself.
