I imagine they would eventually tone it down to 1 job per expac at some point. It would be nice if they just stop making new jobs and deal with the existing ones but... they probably won't. Because 'new' jobs.... sells. :/

There's the bigger issue. Can we be done with it now? Shoe-horning different games into this one is a key reason the story in 14 is increasingly lacking coherence.
More healing and tank jobs please. We don't need another dps that takes 69 minutes to get queued for a dungeon.
The number of healer jobs is irrelevant to why nobody wants to play them
Hell the 4 current healers are basically the same job already, adding a 5th shade of the same boring healer design isn’t going to move the queue needle unless they actually fix healers
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
Honestly, we're not far off from them selling us jobs for an expansion only to turn around at its launch and say "Sorry, not finished yet but they will be finished within this expansion - please stay subbed and look forward to it" Only for them to finally release them years later during a x.58 patch.
I just really dislike this extremely obvious drip-feed of partially doing things/starting them but never entirely following through, even with the graphics update where some things are HQ and others look like the budget to texture the item was 23 seconds and limited to using mspaint blindfolded & using their non dominant hand - Perhaps I'm lacking in knowledge but I just find the entire half-effort approach quite bizarre.
I doubt they will stop new jobs to work on the existing ones, if they do well look foward to pvp auto button rotation jobs lol.
I would be all for no new jobs if they could overhaul the entire combat system and jobs. But I really doubt it would happen.
Even the 8.0 talk I kinda expect it will still be the SHB foundation with current rotation, 1 new gcd and/or ogcd tied to 1min/2min buttons, and then some visual and potency upgrades for current abilities.
8.0 should add two healers, then they might have a reason to actually look into healer gameplay for once.
I think one new race, if we give more money would be great. Like somekind of rigged to hyur model again, maybe furry ears, maybe really complex ears so they dont have to worry about designing hats or the pressure of it, because the community is unfairly pressuring them to design hats when its really really hard hard work and tons of resources from their studio.
I think the haters should give them money if they want hats.
Also I think they should meet quota of their perfect Yoshi-P designed formula and rush for the two jobs, its like knowing you have a bottle of milk in the shop always. Its expected and its okay to keep the formula the same, people wanting new things are honestly too greedy when the formula is already more perfect than what WoW would ever give.
Remember to smile and stop being greedy, lets donate them more money you guys and become the best community
honestly no new job and make what we have more unique and special oh and less broken and crap as it is. give all the job a identity again! and make healer relevant!
