think they are talking about something like dragon dictation software instead of voice to text notetaking, something that can be use to in lieue of typing using a headset, lot easier for controller players instead of playing with controller, then taking a hand off to quickly type a short message and such if that makes any sense. i use a controller and its a clunky as hell even with a keyboard. Like i get why there is no proximty voice comms in a game like this, i can only shudder what the quicksands balmung would sound like

Given my experience with voice to text on my phone I can imagine some pure hilarity from what it translates.

I could see it being a little difficult to implement, though, because we don't have built-in voice communication so there's nothing they could just piggyback onto, for instance.
