We should feel lucky that they really love us and give us something every other year. I think its rreally arrogant to wish for change in formula. The flipside to this is, it is arrogance to expect to run for another decade without at least changes and investment in their legacy systems.

Let's just remember that WoW's engine is almost as old as FFXI itself (It was also Warcraft 3 engine) yet holds incredibly well even to this day, with far more flexibility than what we have here in XIV

The game has endless mods out there as seen by the privacy crisis one. The community already is doing their job for them either hire them or adopt the mods. Chat bubbles are coming eventually. SE and the devs have abandoned this game years ago. They Can't be bothered to even add a new makeup option. Abandonware game.

It IS possible, but they are extremely risk averse, so the only thing that will cause them to do anything really drastic/interesting is if the game really underperforms.
