Technically they are doing it. The 30% that the Dawntrail earring gives is only given if you pre-purchase Dawntrail literally the equivalent of WoW's Heirloom if you spend directly instead of with in-game currency.

Also this. This is quite literally an exp multiplier that is being sold.

Pre-ordering expansions gives an XP Multiplier item, and you can get extra retainers which is extra gil. So yeah, they are.

So in other words your argument of FFXIV's cash shop being one of the most tame, is the only invalid one here.

ESO does not require a subscription.

WoW does and yet its cash shop is a fraction of the size of FFXIV's.

I wish we got a 3-tiered subscription model. Standard, epic and legendary.

Standard for standard

Epic for 2 extra retainers, a pet and access to more glam plates

Legendary for all above and a mount.

Or maybe it would be cool if they sold glamplates in like 2.99 per, but 3 for 5 dollars. IT would really help the company. Please do it Yoshi P. We want to support you!
