and yet i remember clearly yoshi stating back in the day when they launched the cash shop that it was for items exclusively made for it. but welp later on they started adding npc outfit/hairs in there instead of you know : gold saucer (which would make way more sense)

I hope they give us a regulator to use in the facewear slot at the end of Dawntrail as a quest reward, to be honest. Would be fitting to have one.

The ear slot is where it needs to be so it can be combined with other stuff and not have to sacrifice a headwear item to use it.. Suffice for a few earrings it and the neck slot are so underused.they need to start putting things like hair bows etc ribbons in the ear slot.
