Zero gear on FFXIV Store

This stuff has ALWAYS been on the store.
The problem is awful value for sub.
Then you add insult to that injury with the recent much cried for Hilda haircut going into store,
and now this, which always was a black mark, but where as previously there were lots of positive marks, all we have to look at is this black mark, and now what was bearable, no longer is.
If they want to maximise the store potential, they need to invest in the sub value as the store's multiplier.

When I used to rarely use the store I was always very happy to because I was getting great value for my sub when I was playing catch-up, and I had lots of friends still in the game.
It felt like giving SQX a well deserved tip.
Now I'm not so much boycotting the store, but I just don't give a shyte enough to want anything in the store. Since re-subbing and all the 3rd party glam add-ons, I can't even be bothered to glam my character anymore. Just whatever I auto equip.

I want a predatory limited timed cash shop that only goes live 10 minutes every two weeks with inventory 10 times what we have.

All the terrible inquires here forget that the shop is cosmetic filler with 1 exception that's only useful on expansion launch for 2 days that saves you a total of 30 mins before the mount speed is increased in a zone.

As an adult, how do you critique the fact that you buy glamour fluff on a cash shop for a game you already subscribe to without looking broke and desperate just to look pretty? Like really?

This is one of the most tame cash shops in any game that has one available, so 90% of the issues brought up here are invalid.

It can be so much worse and the meltdown from ya'll would be legendary from the naivety and devastation.

WoW, im not a fan of finals cashshop but atleast besides the one motorcycle there isnt something which adds a functionality like WoWs bronto etc etc

So in other words your argument of FFXIV's cash shop being one of the most tame, is the only invalid one here.

ESO does not require a subscription.

WoW does and yet its cash shop is a fraction of the size of FFXIV's.

wows shop is less then half the size even though it's a way older game. And the gap just keeps getting bigger cause xiv adds stuff way more often. Their stuff is also account wide and event items come back every year. SE is somehow way greedier than activision
