FFXIV is currently having many problems regarding vsync and framerate

Ever since 7.1 dropped, FFXIV has been constantly stuttering. A clean 60-80FPS most of the time, but suddenly dropping down to 20fps for 2 seconds, before cycling back up again. It looks like this, essentially turning your gameplay into some kind of shitty tik tok edit.

This is not something that is being caused by the driver itself as this does not happen with any other game, leading me to believe that this is being caused by something on FFXIV's end.
Recently I have noticed, through many posts on here as well as on reddit, that this is being experienced by many other players, and not just myself.

Currently, the only way to fix this is to lock your FPS in-game to 30FPS, and even then you will still experience a small stutter every once in a while.

I am hoping by 7.2 that this can be resolved, as it has made the game nigh unplayable for myself and others.

I have this sometimes too, but also stutters at very specific rates. For example I have no trouble playing other games smoothly, it's only this game causing these issues.

What Platform are you using? (Steam/Windows/Mac/PS4 etc.)
At what point does the issue occur?
How often does the issue occur?

Could you provide the exact error message received, if any?
Are you running any additional programs alongside Final Fantasy XIV?
When the issue happens, is the PC over heating at all?
Does this issue occur if the game is run in full screen mode? Does it happen in borderless or windowed mode?

Could you provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.

Please post your full ffxiv system information info here, it looks like something in the background interfere with the client.
