It's used all the time, by generally unaffected parties to try and force their worldview on everyone else, and they usually bring up children, because WON'T SOMEBODY THINK OF THE CHILDREN (they have no children) is used as a shield of plausible deniability to defend the stupidest takes

The front facing part of the community is not ERP. You might be noticing it cause you're annoyed by it but I'd hardly say that's the MOST prominent part of the community. The playerbase total has increased so more people are doing MORE of everything.

There is no optimization discussion outside of very small corners for certain fights because 2 minute meta killed pretty much all optimization discussions. Once the initial rotation numbers are crunched, that's it.

The culture is different because there are more people affecting it. I'm not claiming it's exactly the same, I never claimed that. I SAID that the parts of the game you seem to be bemoaning STILL exists. The ERP/RP/Nightclub stuff STILL exists too. It all has been existent in this game for a long long long ass time. Just cause you see more nightclub ads cause there's more people so more nightclubs doesn't mean the ENTIRE GAME CULTURE has shifted into only ERP.

There's a ton of discussion and non-nsfw stuff on twitter about xiv. Not necessarily optimization, because as we both agreed there's not much these days to discuss.

But I do see art, lore discussions, memes, and tons of gposes that aren't NSFW. If anything, I think this just speaks more to your twitter algorithm than anything if all you're seeing is NSFW.

And once you see it it's very hard not to notice that these (18) people are everywhere even if they aren't talking about NSFW.

An exponential increase in degeneracy as well as an actual dependence of plugins to the level of "I'd quit if mods got taken away" being quite a common thing to see a person say, a club discord that has both SFW and NSFW gallery's you'll generally see interaction in reaction be extremely slim in SFW and rather high in NSFW.

I completely stopped going to venues as a result of this and just dialled up my content focus, now I have no content that I enjoy left until 7.2

I'm pretty sure mod users wouldn't have much to stand on except degeneracy if SE actually released QoL and improved their game, and gave more character customization options. Hell, who knows how long they will hold a simple thing like chat bubbles hostage for before they release it.

Thousands of players are attending these events, and tenfold more the number of those who are using the related plugins (You know the ones), many of which are considering these activities to be the endgame for them, or the main hobby and activity to do inside.

Why SE doesn't do anything about it? It's simple, because if they do then the player count will significantly drop, maybe even signal the FF14 exodus and the beginning of the end.

I don't go to venue at all I often do open world RP or like one venue I go too because fight club! and most of the people who attend want it to be more friendly toward the people not using such things. I don't say everywhere is good but the more we go the more it get worst they even have corn animation and replace all RP with emote that sadden me ;-;

Well. You won. Coming back for the live letter was dumb. I cancelled my sub again. The social opportunity collapsed (game's fault) and so there is still nothing to do. Something might crop up in the remaining days but we only made it about 10 days, and now I'm bored of helping with EX3s for no reward. So this does not look good. I thought with a positive attitude the opportunities might arise but it's wishful thinking. A positive attitude isn't enough. I need to play mind games with myself instead, and I just can't.
Like I say we'll see. But...
