    At its core the forum itself is literally a platform with some degree of hierarchical structure that organizes different sets of data in a database. Hosted on a website. It is incapable of taking on behaviors and personality traits such as "mania" by its very nature because those are behaviors that only biological life is capable of performing at this current time. This logically leads one to a singular conclusion: When one references the forum in such a way that they're describing its "behaviors" or "personality," they are inherently discussing the people who create the data stored in the database (such as posts, go figure). It's actually the most charitable and honest interpretation someone can naturally derive.
