    Mysterious New Scenario Director

    According to a recent interview by RPGSite.net, YoshiP hinted at a mysteriously new Scenario Director already in their midst. Here is Yoshi's quote:

    "In addition, we have introduced a talented new Scenario Director, but you’ll have to wait a little longer for more information regarding him at the moment. Him!? I’ve already said too much…" Source

    As soon as I read that, for some reason Tanaka popped into my head. Why else would they have to hide a new hire in this way? Unless this new guy is famous for some other well-known SE title or franchise. I'm aware that Tanaka stuck around after his stepping down to be a consultant of sorts to Yoshi, but could Tanaka have officially made a return as Scenario Director for 2.0? What do you guys think?

    Totally agree!

    Masato Kato is would be a superb Scenario Director for this game and he already has MMO experience working on FFXI, and Zilart.

    Yasumi Matsuno is another fantastic possiblity, but I'm not sure what his relationship with SE is like these days...

    Hironobu Sakaguchi would be a real stretch... first of all, 'Scenario director' would be a huge step down for him as all of his work on FF games (from FFVIII till he left the company) was as 'Executive Producer'.

    Also, he is currently running a company that is in direct competition with SE, so...

    Nice EyCee, that answers that question (unless Tanaka pulls a Jay Z/Leno). Had to wiki Masato Kato, and I'm thoroughly ashamed for having to do so. He would make a great addition to the team!
