    FFXIV Boot Error, among other things

    I can no longer access the game due to this Version Check Failed I keep getting when trying to load up the Windows launcher.

    I've tried running as Administrator, tried the various network settings suggested in other threads, etc. I've tried too many a thing at this point. If for some reason it lets me past that initial error, I still get errors logging into the game, and now since I've tried reinstalling the game, can't even reinstall the game files. I'm essentially locked out. Can you please assist in fixing this?

    We apologize for any inconvenience experienced when trying to play Final Fantasy XIV.

    Have you attempted to delete the patch folder from the device?
    (My Documents > My Games > FINAL FANTASY XIV > Downloads > Delete patch folder)

    If you are still experiencing an issue, please be sure to follow these troubleshooting steps below:
    - Make sure Internet Explorer/Microsoft Edge is up to date.
    - Disable all programs/overlays running in the background. (Found in Task Manager)
    - Make sure your anti-virus software has the appropriate exceptions for Final Fantasy XIV
