“Ward” system is a bad idea to begin with, no solutions other than scrap it. It is clear SE have no intention to invest enough to cater to the population.

We have apartments and FC rooms, they just need little update that give same function as house

Lottery system and auto demolition are the best thing for any popular server, there are more than 20 people camping outside back in those days before lottery system implemented.

I barely see another players in my ward, and it is one of the most populated server in Europe. If SE want to keep the wards system to create so call “community”, upgrade the apartments and FC rooms, many complain will disappear

But i agree to the alt suggestion, since you cant have a house on your alt if its the same server then your main it would be nice if both chars are on the same server that they share the house.

Because Housing should still be something special, something unique, not something everyone can have with the least amount of effort but thats just my opinion about it.

Nah thats the only decen gil sink in the game, Gil is absolutely worthless, by just doing your roulettes daylie you easy get 200k a day raw gil + gc stuff to sell. If you dont know how to make gil in the game your own fault

What on earth do you people think you're paying for?? What do you think is supposed to happen to your money, has it never occurred to some of you that the money you spend is actually supposed to go towards improving things? I know a lot of us are American which makes like 90% of you easily susceptible to accepting every single blatant lie a billionaire ever tells you but MAN. At a certain point it's like, are people blind-is playing through brail the new meta or what. FFXIV is a subscription based game, I expect those millions upon millions of dollars to go into the game that we're playing, not 42 other FAILED projects along with nice watches and rings to flash during Live Letters.

I don't wanna hear "it strains servers" ok then get new servers. WoW is doing it just fine. Other games do these things just fine, so why can't FFXIV? "spaghetti code" well they should have fixed that when spent who knows how long ""upgrading"" the graphics. "It's too expensive to-" No it isnt, FFXIV is the highest paying game the company has. That doesnt add up. How the game a huge success, yet can't afford to do a single thing different without immediately going into bankruptcy? It's not that they can't, it's that without any pressure, they won't. and the more you guys sit here and keep trying to defuse pressure, the longer it takes to get anything that isnt another hildebrand legs in the air quest.

OP was right in the majority of what they suggested, if not all of it.
Rubber needs to hit the road. They wanna stay a top game? They need to start acting like one.
More subdivisions, more houses, cheaper costs-getting a house should not be this hard in this game anymore. It's no longer acceptable.
Enough of this formula garbage too. Return to innovation. New ideas, huge efforts. FFXIV is way too comfortable right now.

Spittin' straight facts here. I have NO idea why Square thinks prioritizing the creation of terrible games no one wants to play is a good idea.

And I'm DOUBLY baffled that the FFXIV devs thought a graphical "update" was a good use of their time. Instead of, idk, fixing one of the zillion things players have been complaining about for the past several years.

I totally disagree. Housing is one of the coolest pieces of content for creative people so the barrier of entry should be low. Maybe the grinds attached to it should be more expensive? Stuff like furniture and other house features. I think the entry fee should be low to encourage participation with the content. We need more things to do for more people, not less.

Unless you limit plots to one plot per account per datacenter, including FC houses, this will only lead to bots and spammers taking over entire wards.

3. What's wrong with things costing gil? It's easy to farm and we have little to spend it on. If you really want a house, you'll save up for it. If you're unwilling to pay, then you don't actually want it enough to justify taking a plot. 10k is nothing, not even pocket change.

3b. Removing the lottery system is also a bad idea, one that could only come from someone who never had the displeasure of staying up to 5am clicking a placard constantly only to lose to a macro. As someone who did - you don't want to experience that, trust me.

5. Again, why? I see absolutely no benefit to making houses cost nothing. It would just make gil inflation worse and make houses harder to obtain if anything. FC houses would only be obtainable by huge FCs with 500 members (or bots) each dropping trivial amounts of gil to flood the lottery. Personal houses likewise would all get eaten up by level 50 alt characters. It'd be a disaster.


I agree with your other points. We needed placeable glamour dressers years ago.
