Unlock the Savage Tier, Yoshida

We’ve been at this for 6 months and change already, and considering how IMPECCABLY SLOW we’re getting patches this expansion? It SUCKS. FRU’s already been out for a while now, and the same with Chaotic. Unlock the god damn tier so people can farm weapons and gear for alt jobs to prep for next tier, because if you just slate 7.2 for Early March? It’s going to be hell trying to catch up on 7.17.

We also need to have a talk about how slow unlocking the tier has been since Shadowbringers(content cadence was set back by COVID, but understandable); this carried badly into Endwalker and Dawntrail when COVID Pandemic was dealt with. While I do not incentivize crunching the devs, people have been complaining about lack of content because your content cadence has been awfully slow - and even with the IMMENSE backlog, your casual player is starving while raiders are eating - where the inverse was true in Endwalker.

If they can increase content cadence back to 3.5 Months, I wouldn’t complain. But 4.5? That’s a lot of time just for that - even if SE is an “indie company” with a CEO that still wants to ride NFTs. The ship needs to be steered back so we can keep people enjoying the game(aside from Dawntrail’s story…)

They think unlocking them at the .18 patch is always the same thing, even if the time between patches increases by 50%.

We don't usually get a x.x8 patch until x.58. I think 7.15 was supposed to be the last patch this cycle, until the hotfix to fix the untranslated text. It should have been turned off in 7.15. In Ew, IIRC it was turned off in the same patch that added the additional role quests.

Still doesn’t help that we’re artificially gatekept on gear months after the tier’s dead and on weekly farm for most raiders. By the time someone is able to get 24 books straight, that tier should unlock since by then your Midcore statics would’ve potentially blasted the tier already; it also helps people prepare for the new tier.

It's because they hate the idea of a game with 21 jobs having any sort of slack whatsoever.

Everything they do shows their incompetence as developers, but here we are.

The reason lockouts exist in instances is so that you don’t have people hogging every single instance a la Stormblood’s “A System Error Occurred During Event Movement” or among other things, just not having the space to house every player instance. We saw that in Endwalker in fact with how hard they were selling and couldn’t fit everyone in at the time.

The reason lockouts exist is purely a misguided attempt to keep people subbed. It has nothing to do with number of instances lmao
