Sure. There are very few things I know as facts, but years of experience in FL strongly suggest that the presence of a roulette and the rewards attract a sub-population of players who make no effort. And like most pessimists I regard myself as a realist.

To your general point, I do empathize with RW enthusiasts. The continued absence of Astralagos is quite honestly pathetic. My guess is SQEX is irritated with the gallant attempts from players to keep the mode alive, and would rather kill it off entirely.

I played Frontline for almost 10 years, I can ensure you if these people really want to learn, you won't be even see this thread:

If people from EU/EN really want to learn, we would have same level of experience as Japanese Frontline, but we definitely are not even close to that level

This might be getting off on a tangent of a thread, but I suppose my thinking is that putting RW in roulette, might end up giving PVP more limelight, and we might end up with more serious pvp players. It has a lot of untapped potential in the game. Whether or not the aftereffects of RW roulette would be beneficial or not is out for judgement unless it's implemented - but I think having it in roulette has no downsides, but only upsides.

I am not even a RW enthusiast (because I am rarely around when the pops happen)... I just like to pvp and think that if it was given even a smidgen of as much love as PVE content gets - it would return in spades.

Yeah, I think EU/EN need more/different carrots & sticks to JP to keep their attention.

Also, how do you have a bespoke RW "roulette" with one map?
The FL "roulette" is also just one map. The fact that the map changes daily doesn't negate the fallacy of the roulette.

If you want to attract more PvP players to 14's PvP, you make it more PvP-like. I think objective-based PvP modes are fine provided the objectives don't detract from the fighting. Add in further gimmicks like robots and it just becomes contrived and inaccessible.

True. And based on the further declining quality of the FL matches since mogtome started, I'm at the point where I'd like FL roulette removed. Give to RW! Let those players have short queue times and unplayable matches!

It's a common misconception. The Frontline "roulette" is labeled a "Daily Challenge", meaning they're aware it's not a roulette and there's really nothing stopping RW from having the same thing. And even then, RW should have 3+ maps by now. They're just choosing not to support it for whatever reason. Why they would bother creating an entire "Daily Challenges" (plural) section in the DF and only have one option there for so long is a mystery.

In the year 2025, it's silly that there's no Rival Wings roulette still. Outside of mogtomes, there's no incentive for people to queue the mode besides enjoyment (and achievements, I suppose.) It's a shame, because the dev team clearly puts a bit of work into making the mode enjoyable, taking feedback from previous iterations into account. With all that work... why not show it off to the community at large? It's a welcome change of pace from Frontlines.

The content is too difficult for the average player. It's the same reason why an extreme trial or savage content roulette does not exist.

The average player will not understand or care to understand mechs or any other map mechanics. It would not be enjoyable for anyone. People will just do it for quick rewards. We already have a lot of people AFK in frontlines, RW is worst because it's smaller scale.

Better ways to get more people playing would be new rewards, new map or bring back old map. Fun achievements could be cool too, "Destroy 100 Oppressors" and so forth.

Somewhat related, but I wish they would go back to having smaller teams. I enjoyed the 24 man versus the 72 ones because it felt like what I did mattered more. It's both a blessing and a curse in 72 man right now because it's hard to determine what a specific person is doing, especially if they are in a different alliance group. With smaller groups, it's easier to see if someone is not contributing.

I strongly disagree that it's too difficult - i think a lot of it is to do with how long it takes for community to get good in a mode that doesn't pop for half a year.
If SE wanted people to have an opportunity to get good in a mode - add the mechs to Wolf Den Pier, so we could practice or even understand what the buttons do!

The reason why extreme trial or savage content roulette doesn't exist is that it doesn't reward not clearing - and you want to describe prog points and you want to describe strats you will use or team comp you want - rival wings doesn't have any of those issues. I think you are comparing apples and oranges.
