A hope is that bright light burning within each and everyone of us!
I personally know of 2… and my hubby also plays less because of the frustration of the lotto, among a few other reasons. And another friend lost their house to auto-demo and doesn’t play anymore.
I can imagine the lottery can be frustrating. But you also have a say in the matter. There is mansion on Golem Ward 6, its uncontested. Currently sitting at 0 bids and thr bid period ends in 2 days or so.
The apple is ripe for the picking. You just have to grab it.
As for your friend, I do understand why they left, it sucks. I also lost my Brynildr Mist ward 7 plot 44 because I didn't check into it for 45 days. But if 45 days came and went and I didn't notice it until it was gone. Well, I clearly didn't care that much about if it took 45 days to notice I haven't checked into it in awhile.
For myself, I guess I feel differently, size isnt a limiting factor but creativity to ultilize the space is. .

Yeah just go to a dead data center that cant even fill frontlines matches for a chance to get a house![]()
So you're not willing to do what you need to do to get a plot? If having a plot means that much you'll do what you need to get one. If it's not that high on the priority list don't worry about it, you still have access to housing, right?
Can't you data center? Visit and go to whatever server you wanna go play on and get matched in for frontlines ?
Can you really be mad at these shell fc's and bots for buying plots the players have no interest in? I had 3 plots in my ward opened. Two of them were brought out by she'll fcs that actually took the time to level up to rank 6 to bid and win uncontested.
I kind of think that the issues that people are having and the reality of what's actually going on are two different things.
When people complain about Shell fcs and bots buying up plots, but realize they are bidding on uncontested plots, and the very people complaining about them arnt mitigating it wanting to avoid the server they are finding all the free real-estate on...Until the population fills up, then they are upset all the best plots were brought out by squatters

You're not entirely wrong, but you're also discounting the fact that many people have put down roots on a particular server. They have an FC and friends there that they love, they have a static, they're immersed in the local RP, etc. Yes, technically, they can buy a house on another server and travel back, but it there are limitations to it (can't stay in their FC, can't access retainers, etc.) that make it more of a hassle to move. And for many what's the point of having a house if you have to server/datatcenter jump just to go back to it or invite people over?
Some people just don't want to start over on a new server, and that's not wrong. Neither is it wrong for them to want access to housing on the server they're on and not deal with FC bots buying all the available space while they were busy saving their gil to buy a house in the first place.
Not to mention there’s regular threads over in General Discussion about how dead some of the Dynamis servers are, the most recent of which asking for the Dynamis worlds to be merged into other NA DCs. I still think it was a big mistake to release all those worlds without funneling all new characters into them to populate them. And it created a whole DC where the bulk of characters are alts created solely to get a house, thus the low activity. You're not entirely wrong, but you're also discounting the fact that many people have put down roots on a particular server. Point being, their only “solution” to the housing scarcity was so unpalatable that even the ones who did transfer who a house are now regretting it. The time and effort would be better spent adding an instanced housing system that can scale with need and doesn’t use as many server resources as the wards do.

They have access the housing, They want to plot. This is not a feature that they're missing out on if they don't have it. They're arnt locked out of housing. So they can create something on the server that they're on. No this is about demanding a plot, But nobody's willing to do what needs to be done over the squatters who are playing the long game. When the servers finally fill up.guess who already had first dibs?
