Is it a bad thing if a lot of players did lose interest should that happen? It would show much of the interest in housing was artificial, more about serving the ego of having something others want but don't have, Supply would no longer be restricted, allowing any player with a genuine interest in housing as content to participate.


The potential for the full package is already there.

SE has designed the system so it is unable to reach that full potential by tying ownership of a house to a specific plot in a limited number of wards, and the size of the house to an even more limited number of specific plots.

Only when SE changes the system so every player can get the plot they want will players have access to a full package.

Other MMORPGs have had thriving housing communities in their games despite their housing being fully instanced so everyone could participate as they want. It's a shame that FFXIV has to be otherwise.

Well it's because it's a commodity. The more
Common, something is the less value people place on it.

I don't see anyone complaining for apts EXCEPT servers where their supply is out. The servers that have enough apartments don't care about them. The servers that are full in their capacity.Are the ones asking for more apartments.if anything.

The servers that have a near capacity housing unit.
But plenty of apartments. You will find players that simply forgo apartments in their entirety because they want a house despite wanting to partake In the housing system
